Tools FAQs
Q | Can I solder my terminals? |
A | Yes, however, crimping is normally advised because solder can weaken due to vibration over time, leading to poor connections. |
Q | Can I buy a replacement jaw for use with another type of terminal? |
A | Not all tools will allow you to swap the jaw for use with a different terminal or connector. If the tool purchased from us allows the jaws to be changed for use with a different terminal you will find the jaw options on our site, or for further help you can contact our team. |
Q | What is the difference between Light, Standard & Heavy Duty tools? |
A | Our light-duty tools are designed for use when you only need to crimp a small number of terminals and are a cheaper option. Our standard-duty tools are more user-friendly and are ideal if you are doing a number of connections during your build. Our heavy-duty tools are designed with professionals in mind and are more expensive but can handle daily usage on large-scale projects. |
