Heavy duty crimping tool for fitting cylindrical copper tube, open ended and butt splice terminals to cables with a conductor cross-sectional area of 6mm² to 120mm².
This sturdy yet compact tool is made from solid steel and has a hardened, sprung-loaded punch which holds the terminals securely against the die so that you have both hands free. The punch can then be either hit with a hammer or compressed in a vice to form the crimp.
This tool is great, low-cost option if you are planning on doing only a few crimps and want a solid, secure termination without having to invest in a professional hexagon crimper.
Sold individually.

Perfect tool for the DIY cable maker. I had no problems crimping heavy duty terminal ends onto 2/0 70mm2 wire in a vice. Perfect! It will handle any gauge wire up to that easily. Good strong crimps. Recommended.

Worked really well using engineering vice on the workbench. Very happy with the result. Only issue was crimping onto existing cables in situ where it was difficult to use the vice or big hammer. Ended up soldering.
Heavy duty Sprung Loaded Terminal Crimping Tool 14 September 2023 | David
Used this to crimp a 70mm2 battery power cable terminal. Tried the vice alternative first but my vice wasn't man enough to squeeze the terminal so you need a heavy duty vice or more strength than I've got. So the second alternative is to hit the device with a hammer. Did so with a 4lb hammer and it crimped well on a hefty cable.
Advise putting any terminal cover on the cable first.

Good piece of equipment,if you’re crimping bigger size cables it is easy to hold cable in place whilst hitting the crimper using free hand

Thank you for the feedback on this Bob!

I was a little sceptical when ordering this tool, however was pleasantly surprised. I managed with ease (on my own) to use both the vice and hammer methods. Recommended.

This is just a stamp, you cannot crimp with this tool alone. It is almost useless in situe as it required a press in order to work.
Response:
Hi, We are sorry you felt this way. Whilst yes this stamps the terminal we have found this has created strong connections. Although it is easier with a press the tool can be used with just a hammer as has been done by many customers (see reviews below). If you contact our sales team we will be more than happy to discuss your concerns further if required.
