Description

The 7748 SafetyHub 150 from Blue Sea Systems provides a safe, compact method of fusing and distribution where a mixture of up to 10 high and low current circuits is required in a small footprint.  Thanks to its fully sealed cover design the SafetyHub is ignition protected, making it perfect for use in the vicinity of fuels on board boats and in vehicles. The tethered cover is IP66 rated so protects the fuses from the harsh marine environment when secured with the yellow clips, and there is storage space for 2 spare midi fuses and 2 spare standard blade fuses.

The 4 midi fuse circuits can be used for high current loads (e.g. engine start, windlass, distribution panel etc.) and the 6 standard blade fuse circuits for low current loads (e.g. VHF, GPS, bilge pump, alarm, etc.). The maximum current rating of the entire block is 600A with each midi fuse circuit having a max. current rating of 200A, and each standard blade fuse circuit having a max. current rating of 30A.

This fuse block also features a negative busbar to enable all 10 negative circuit connections to be consolidated in a common location, keeping cabling tidy and making fault finding easier.

The SafetyHub can be connected directly to a battery to provide unswitched circuit protection (e.g. for boats that will be moored), or it can be configured for switched circuit protection by fitting a battery switch before the main power connection (e.g. for boats that are trailered or kept in dry storage).

There is a single M8 stud to connect power to the block and then 4 further M8 studs to take power to the loads from each of the midi fuse circuits (we recommend using copper tube terminals). M4 screws are used to make the connection to the standard blade fuse circuits. The negative busbar has a combination of M8 studs and M4 screws for connecting negative cables. All M8 studs feature one-piece flange nuts to ensure safe and secure connections.
