Maxxshade Blind For Maxxair Maxxfan Deluxe

Review is for the LED version but has valid observations.

I have owned and been using the shade for over 6 months. The shade is easy to fit with only minor adjustment. The roller shade itself is well sprung but can shoot back if not careful. Its held on by 2 plastic clips that have so far survived without issue for myself. The main reason this doesn't get 5 stars from me is that the I prefer a sturdier clip on the blind. I also have found that its not 100% black out light can bleed through the vents and the light lenses. The other issue is that whilst driving with it shut it can pop out the side runners. Apart from that much better than my previous home made cover. I use my van 365 days a year and I have found that the heat can escape from the closed blind.

I am very disappointed with the Maxxshade. The quality of the plastic moulding is at best adequate.

What really lets it down though is the blind itself. It is spring-loaded and is held by two flimsy clips. It is very viscous in its action and a very poor design. The blind is also semi-transparent and blocks maybe 30% of the light so on a sunny Summers morning the light comes streaming through at 5am.
