Description

The Victron Energy Orion-Tr non-isolated DC-DC converter is a compact, high efficiency (>95% at full load) converter for reducing the voltage from a 24V battery source to a nominal 12V output. This is useful if your vehicle has a 24V starter or leisure battery system and you want to run 12V appliances from it (which are much more readily available than 24V versions).

The wide input voltage range of 18-35V allows the converter to maintain a stabilised 12.5V output, even when the 24V bank is being charged. It has a continuous output current capability of 20A (power of 240W) with a peak of 25A and a low off-load (standby) current of <35mA.

This unit is simple to install with no special tools required.

Commonly used in larger motorhomes, vans, horseboxes and boats that have 24V starter systems.
