The 12V, 4A Blue Smart IP65 Charger is the new portable battery charger from Victron Energy featuring built-in Bluetooth. This charger range represents the latest in professional charging technology, utilising a seven-step charging algorithm to get the best out of your battery. ensuring better performance and longer life. Unlike other brands, the Blue Smart chargers will attempt to recharge a deeply-discharged battery by force-feeding it with a low current. Normal charging will then be resumed as soon as there is sufficient voltage across the battery terminals. Built-in Bluetooth allows you to monitor the status of your charger via any Android or Apple device and all settings of the charger can be configured with the VictronConnect app.

Includes crocodile clips and 8mm ring terminals for battery connection.

Recommended for batteries with a capacity in the range of 20 - 50Ah (scooters, motorcycles, classic cars)

A good charger, shame about the bluetooth

This is my second one of these chargers - I have a 15A one too.

For basic charger functionality they are fine. Good build quality. They work reliably and keep cool all the time. Their weak point is that in order to have full control you need to use their smart phone app, and that's too badly written to work. It insists on doing the Bluetooth pairing itself, rather than leaving it to the OS as it should, and then says it can't see the device to pair with it.

Two chargers - both fully visible to the OS and pair-able, but the Victron App insists it can't see them. If you pair via the OS the App refuses to talk to them. Incompetent programming at its most irritating.
