Twin Port Fast Charge USB Power Socket With Blue LED (5V, 4.8A)

Well made USB charger which was easy to fit. Wanted a fast charger which this provides without any issue.
Just wish there was the option to not have it illuminated as it illuminates the whole campervan when charging devices overnight.
Home chargers do not illuminate. Advert suggests illuminates to let you know it's powered up. You're device will also let you know this without the need for a bright blue light.
It would also save a bit of battery drain too.
Will swop it out for a non illuminated one.

Purchased to upgrade my cigarette charger socket to faster charging double USB socket, all works well and arrived quickly. Easy install with just minor work required as diameter slightly bigger than old charger removed, look neater now too with the cover.

Cheap cheerful & it works. Runs the dash cam in the TVR. Installed under the dash cover.

I bought one of these to fit to a 2012 Prius. Although the Prius has a USB socket fitted as standard, it's hidden at the bottom of the centre cubby box, and can only supply 0.7A at 5V. If you load the socket above 0.7A, the voltage drops until the load reaches 0.9A, whereupon an error message appears on the vehicle display, and the USB port is disabled until the car is re-started!

An higher-power and more convenient alternative was clearly needed, and after drilling a hole in a removable panel beside the standard 12V "cigar lighter"socket, I installed this twin port socket. On testing, one socket maintained a 5V output up to a loading of 2.8A, whilst the other could be loaded up to 2.5A. I did not load both at the same time, so cannot confirm the 4.8A simultaneous load.

I would have preferred green LED illumination which I could link to the vehicle lights, but I am getting used to the always-on blue lighting which certainly makes it easy to find the sockets.

All in all, I am very pleased with the socket, and will probably buy another one for a Land Rover Defender.

Fitted a number of these to my motorhome but this one I fitted to my motorbike so that I can recharge my phone when I am out blood biking. Only downside is that it is not waterproof so I have made and fitted a cap that covers the sockets

Well built piece of kit. Worth getting with a rocker switch so that the blue light isn't on all the time ( and saves a bit of battery drain I guess) especially if
you have it in a sleeping area. You can remove the dust cover completely if you want. Good power output for charging phones etc.

Good quality product and solid feel when plugging in USB cables. Socket is perminantly lit Blue and would in my application have been better if only lit when gadget plugged in, otherwise 5 star
