2-Way Superseal 1.5 Series compact, high quality connector designed for automotive and marine applications where a water-tight connection is required. Their sealing reliability under harsh conditions is well proven and they are particularly suited for use in engine bay environments.
Suitable for cables from 0.5 - 1.5mm². Male tab and female receptacle terminals are crimped onto the cables and then inserted into the the connector housings. A secondary lock ensures that the terminals are properly located (lock cannot be closed unless terminals are fully inserted) and prevents them backing out of the housings.
Note: Male tab terminals fit into the female connector housing and vice-versa.
Sold as a male/female pair complete with all terminals and cable seals (spares available).

Assembly tip: The rubber cable seal should be crimped within the rear part of the terminal to retain it in the housing. Ensure that the terminals are not deformed before inserting into the housings. It is sometimes necessary to use a pair of long nosed pliers to pull the terminals fully forward before closing the red secondary locks.
The following tool should be used for crimping as it prevents the seals splitting and does not deform the terminals:

First time user - bit fiddly and sensitive to exactly how you trim your cables. Doesn't like overly thick insulation! Went much easier on the second one. Will definitely use them again when needed.

Great service as always from 12Volt Planet.great waterproof connectors. I only had a generic wire crimper which didnt work very well and im sure the dedicated tool would make the job 100%.

These are very nice connectors when put together properly. Assembly with the proper tool is fiddly but straightforward after watching the video.
However, if you ever need to remove the terminal pins they are really difficult. I have got through a load of these after destroying them during disassembly

Bought because I needed to connect with wiring already present in van (ex BG.) I had never seen these connectors before, but the excellent youtube tutorial from these folk persuaded me to buy a few, and the tool. Will be great for the marine environment where I often work.
