Plastic Plug & Socket Deck Connector - 3A, 2 Pin

These are made to a price point. The material feels robust enough, but they are super fiddly to work with. The cable entry points are accessed by removing a self tapping screw which bares against the body of the connector. The 3A cable access points are so small that a "watch makers" screwdriver is required to get to the tiny screw that holds the cable in place. Only will accept cable for LED lighting. 1.5 or other standard cable will be too big.

Considering that these are made for use on a boat deck, the design is poor. Even working on a bench it's difficult to make the required connections. Trying to work with such small parts in an exposed environment like a deck is challenging. Drop one of the tiny screws and the fitting is rendered useless unless you can find it. Getting a replacement will not be easy.

So in summary, whilst they do the job for two of my cable glands I was forced to purchase a different make to fit the 2.5mm cable required for the Halogen Deck light. Therefore I couldn't really recommend them as a good purchase.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this, it is not a flimsy plastic product that I was expecting!! The product is quite sturdy and it feels good quality. It is on the roof of my narrowboat, so I'll have to see how it weathers.
