This 5024 ST-Blade Battery Terminal Mount Fuse Block Kit from Blue Sea Systems provides a convenient and compact method of fusing directly at the battery terminals. This is ideal for those circuits that need to be permanently powered for safety or convenience e.g. bilge pumps, gas alarms, USB power socket, stereo memory etc. The mounting method means that you can still connect ring terminals for larger cables to the battery terminals, so this fuse block and the corresponding negative busbar can be added without sacrificing any existing connections.
The kit consists of a 4-way fuse block for the positive battery terminal, a busbar with insulating cover for the negative terminal and pre-insulated ring terminals for making cable connections. The fuse block busbar and negative busbar are made from tin-plated copper with a 10mm hole that can be bolted to an M10 battery terminal. 4 individual standard blade fuse slots with screw terminals allow connection of the loads and the clear lid of this fuse box provides ignition protection for safe use around fuels.
The advantage of fusing directly at the battery terminal is that it completely eliminates any unprotected section of cable between the battery terminal and the fuse block.
Includes 8x ring terminals (4x for 1.5-2.5mm² cable & 4x for 3-6mm² cable), 4x write-on labels and 2x spare terminal screws.
