This 5052 ST-CLB circuit breaker block from Blue Sea Systems offers a compact, surface mounted circuit protection solution where the use of circuit breakers is preferred, eliminating the difficulty and time required to mount individual breakers in a panel.
The block accepts Blue Sea Systems CLB ignition protected Push Button Reset-Only CLB Circuit Breakers with 6.3mm quick connect terminals that simply plug into each breaker location. This makes them as easy to use as a fuse and allows you to quickly and easily build a block to your specific requirements with circuit breakers ranging in value from 3A-40A. If a circuit breaker trips, the button will protrude through the hole in the cover, allowing it to be reset.
There are 12 circuits fed with a common input on a positive busbar, and a separate negative busbar sits alongside the circuit breakers to consolidate all the return cables in a central location. This reduces the wiring required and enables the block to be connected via a single set of pos & neg cables to the power source. Connection to the busbars is via studs, with screw terminals used for connection to the individual circuits. The screw terminals and busses are made from tin-plated copper to resist corrosion.
The clear insulating cover is secured with strong clips, satisfies ABYC/USCG insulation requirements, and has break-outs that allow wire access from two directions. It comes with two spare terminal screws and features recesses that accept Blue Sea Systems 4215, 4216, 4217 & 4218 waterproof Square Labels for circuit identification.
