This 2356 Water Resistant Busbar Block from Blue Sea Systems provides IP66 protection for the distribution of power, or consolidation of negative returns, in a compact footprint. Ideal for use in harsh marine environments on boats or in external/exposed applications on vehicles.
The main connection terminal can accommodate 8.5-20mm² cable and this feeds a busbar that has 4 connection points accepting 1.5-6mm² cable. The entire bock is rated at 100A continuous (AC or DC) and up to 48V DC or 300V AC, making it suitable for use as a 240V mains earth consolidation point.
Seals around the lid and cable entries ensure the block is protected against moisture ingress and the unit is supplied with 3 plugs to seal un-used cable entry points. Connection is via standard ring terminals with no special tools required and the fixings and other metal components are corrosion resistant for use in marine environments.
The tethered cover is secured by screws and this block can be nested with ST-Blade Water Resistant Fuse Blocks to reduce cabling.
