Description

Mains installation kit for fitting a 240V hook-up system to caravans, motorhomes, campervans and boats. This kit includes everything you need to install a safe and reliable mains system and includes a fully insulated, IP65 mini-consumer unit with a 10A double-pole miniature circuit breaker, 25A RCD earth leakage protection (to guard against electric shock), 2x single gang switched white sockets, cables and a surface-mounted inlet plug that mounts to the outside of the vehicle and connects to the site supply.

Good kit although I have purchased a flush mount plug as did not want the surface mount version on my boat.

The hook up kit was delivered in a timely fashion. Quality was generally acceptable. Cable designated for distribution from consumer unit to socket outlets was in a poor condition. This cable outer sheath was split over an extended length and would not be acceptable if installed.

Good product,east to fit but the only problem I have encountered is that when it rains water gathers in the external mains hook-up cover wetting all the pins in the plug,this could have been very dangerous had I not noticed and dried out the plug and pins prior to hooking up to the mains power. The external plug for requires some sort of cover to stop the water from gathering in the cover.

I contacted 12 v planet on a number of occasions to discuss this product and a variable split charge relay system
On every occasion my call was dealt with brilliantly.
Nothing was too much trouble.
The product order to delivery was just over 36 hours and the instructions are simple to understand and will need basic wiring skills.
My only suggestion for possible improvement would be to offer options involving different types of sockets (eg chrome sockets, usb options) as the surface mount sockets are fantastic if hidden but nay not be to everyone's taste if visual.
I can not recommend 12 v planet enough!
I will be ordering more products soon!!!!
