Turned a extremely bad starting tractor, into one that starts first turn of the key. Much better than the normal screw type terminals. However you do need a hydraulic crimper to fit them or use solder.

Disapointed.

Marketed as 70mm 'solder or crimp', I was disappointed when I found the terminal does not fit my 70mm crimpers as it is simply to large. The body of the terminal would need perhaps an 80 or larger size tool which I did not have. Even if I did use the wrong size crimp the result would unlikely be correct. All the other terminals I purchased crimped perfectly.

I contacted 12v planet and was told I need a hydraulic crimper for this terminal, IMO this should be stated beside the product. I lost time stripping out cable only to find I could not use the terminals. I have had to use temporary alternative terminals which means the vehicle will have to come back in the workshop at a later date.

I have checked and 12v planet do not appear to sell a hydraulic crimper?

Response:

Thank you for the feedback David and we will add to the product description to make sure it's clear that these can only be crimped using heavy duty hydraulic crimpers. Sorry for the inconvenience.
